Wading with Cottonmouths in a Clear Stream with NKFHerping and my724outdoors.com!
A great hike with @GregsTurtleHaven where we turned up solid snake and turtle numbers! This was easily my best day ever for Stripe-necked Musk Turtles, and we saw some stunner Cottonmouths along the way! As a side note: I don’t include occasional footage of myself handling venomous snakes as a stunt for views, but rather as a realistic depiction of what is required to get good footage and photos of these semi-aquatic vipers when they’re encountered in their element. I cannot stress how dangerous this kind of handling can be for people who haven’t been working for venomous snakes for 10+ years like I have, and I strongly discourage reckless handling of venomous snakes.
