I really love places that are off the beaten path. This is one of those places. Located in the very small town of Crescent City Florida (no Walmart), a town that grew up on the side of aptly named Crescent Lake. This lake is part of the St Johns River System and is connected to the river via Dunns Creek. The lake offer excellent fishing for bass, crappie (specked perch), catfish, panfish and blue crabs. The sunrises over the lake are a must see. Crescent Fish Camp has a 4 slip marina with floating docks, a full tackle shop and live bait. There is ample places to fish from either the dock of from the bank.
There is a full RV park with 50A service and several lodging options. The Tiny Houses are really cute. I found the cottage that we stayed in clean and comfortable. There is also a new bath house for the campers and much of the camp has been upgraded for accessibility. The centrally located pool makes a nice place to cool off or just relax.
