I am crappie fishing in 1 foot of water for spawning Texas crappie. The Crappie Spawn 2024 is right around the corner and I am already catching mostly male crappie in very shallow water, these male crappie come in first to get the beds ready for the female crappie. A male spawning crappie will eat anything that comes into their bed. I am using a hand tied crappie jig and my 10’ ACC Crappie Stix. This is a great example on how to catch crappie in shallow water during the crappie spawn. The spring is one of my favorite times to catch crappie out of the year, it can be alot of fun.
