Stu the Snack Man and I get together with Lake Shelbyville Guide Steve Welch at Kentucky Lake. We are pushing minnows on stakebeds for slab crappie! I relocated to approximately 90 minutes away last year (depending on what part of the lake I want to go to), and want to get familiar with the lake a bit before I start making day trips down here. Which leads me to a point, if you ever want to go to a new body of water and your not sure where to start, Especially for a huge lake like Kentucky Lake, consider hiring a gude your first day, and ask a ton of questions. Make sure you take a buddy that can split the cost with you too! I think you will find it a good investment! We had a great time with Steve and he is a wealth of information.
