This Smoked Salmon Split Pea Soup Will Make Your Tastebuds Rejoice with ADFG and my724outdoors.com!
We have all had split pea soup, but adding some smoked salmon, makes it even more delicious! In this short video, we’ll show you how to make smoked salmon split pea soup! It tastes just like your favorite ham and pea soup, we swear!
Ingredients: 1 large fillet (or 2 cans) of smoked salmon 1 large yellow onion, chopped 4 carrots, diced 3 stalks celery, diced 2 cups dried split peas ¾ cup dried lentils 1 quart chicken or fish stock 1 quart water 3 bay leaves Salt & Pepper to taste Sauté onion, carrots and celery until onions are translucent. Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, then allow to simmer for ~1 hour, or until peas and lentils are soft. Yields ~8 servings. ©ADF&G
