Searching For Rattlesnakes In A Burnt Forest with NKFHerping and my724outdoors.com!
Some of the best days of the year so far, one with good friends and one rolling solo! We find several examples of the impressive Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, an animal that is both fascinating and very capable of defending itself which always makes for an exciting time. I prefer to observe these animals rather than interact with them, but the weather conditions during these outings lead to more interaction with some of these rattlesnakes than I would have liked. We also find some of our colorful colubrids that share habitat with the Eastern Diamondback, like the Corn Snake!
