Crappie Fishing with Minnows at Pyramid Lake In Illinois with PFGFishing and my724outdoors.com!
Donald and I go out to the strips at Pyramid State Park trying to find some suspended post spawn crappie. Last year we found suspended schools roaming around these brushpiles. No such luck yet this year. We found spotty little groups around some of the brush, but nowhere near what we got into last year. We are pitching minnows around the piles at about 8 feet deep, and plucking a few here and there, along with an occasional catfish (more to come on that point). We are both using Mafia Rods today, Donny using a 10 ft and me using an 11 ft. heavy cover rod.
