This Wild Blackberry Pecan Squares Recipe is Too Tasty with MoConservation and my724outdoors.com!

If you’re looking for a sweet and nutty dessert or just a special snack treat, we’ve got the recipe for you. Our blackberry-pecan squares have a buttery toffee flavor, enhanced by toasted pecans. And it’s all complimented by the wonderful taste of blackberries.

BLACKBERRY PECAN SQUARES — 2 cups blackberries 1 cup pecans, toasted ½ cup butter (salted), softened 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1⅔ cup flour 1 tsp. vanilla ½ tsp. salt 2 eggs

First, grease an 8 inch square baking pan with butter and set aside. Stir together flour, soda and salt. Cream butter and sugar with a mixer about 3 minutes until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat. Continue to beat slowly, adding in the flour mixture until combined. Gradually add 3/4 cup toasted pecans and mix. Then spread the batter in a pan. Sprinkle berries on top, and scatter on remaining nuts. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes. Let it cool for 30 minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares and serve.
