Make Delicious Redbud Jelly with MoConservation and my724outdoors.com!

Eastern redbud trees in Missouri are in bloom from late March through early May. Besides their beauty, the colorful buds are also edible. MDC videographer Kevin Muenks provides some helpful tips in making a tasty redbud jelly.

The eastern redbud (Cercis canadensis) grows throughout most of the eastern U.S, extending as far west as Oklahoma and Texas and north into Canada. This tree is not picky when it comes to soil preference, but it does best when grown in a moist, well-drained location.
