A great day of finding Kingsnakes! with NKFherping and my724outdoors.com!

A great day of finding kingsnakes in Georgia! What started off as a lazy afternoon of flipping tin ended up being one of my most memorable days of snake hunting of the year so far! I ended up finding a lot of Kingsnakes over here in western Georgia.

Kingsnakes are one of the most widespread snake species in the US. They are ground-dwelling snakes that often kill and eat other snakes, even venomous ones, including rattlesnakes, copperheads, and cottonmouths—kingsnakes are highly resistant to their venom. Kingsnakes have a number of pattern and color variations. Kingsnakes are medium-size nonvenomous snakes that kill by constriction. They are one of the most common snakes in North America. They are called kingsnakes because they sometimes eat other snakes, as does the king cobra. Kingsnakes are popular among pet owners.
